Flasher - Bent Tree Walking Trail

A woman on an afternoon constitutional at a Marrero walking trail called in authorities after she encountered a flasher. The unwanted exposure occurred Tuesday at a walking path near the Bent Tree Estates subdivision, according to a Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office arrest report.

The unidentified victim was walking the trail, located at Bent Tree Boulevard and Leo Kerner Parkway, just before 3 p.m. when she noticed a man about 15 feet ahead of her. As she got closer, she realized his pants were down, the report said.

The man, later identified as Shane Fontenot, 39, of Marrero, walked toward the victim and exposed himself by lifting his shirt, the report said. Fontenot then allegedly grabbed his genitals and shook them at the victim.

Fontenot was taken into custody and the victim identified him as the flasher, the report said. Fontenot, of 2617 Buccaneer Drive, Marrero, was booked at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center in Gretna with obscenity. He was released Wednesday on a $3,500 bond.
